“This is the family saga of family sagas. You have so much family presented in this boxset; you will never run out of them. You have loving family, then you have estranged family. You have criminal family, then you have evil family. You have grumpy family, then you have pushy family. Pick your fave and enjoy!” N.N. Light’s Book Heaven Book Review

Kudos to Jan Scarbrough for keeping the characters interesting and the plot twists intriguing from the first book to the last.” Amazon Review

I found my setting for the Ghost Mountain Ranch series after a 2016 vacation to Montana. Thinking back now, I don’t remember how I came up with the mystery. I do know that writing a mystery without a police or medical background was hard. I had to keep the discovery of clues realistic for normal people. One of the first things I did was create my characters, my family whose romances span the series. I also had to do research into a time, the 1970’s. I have to say, these books contain some of my best writing to date.

Darby

February 1971

He was dead.

A secret-filled past. A Montana ranch haunted by old memories. A second chance at the love Darby abandoned.

Slade

Chicago

April 2019

She was dead.

Dive into this spellbinding Western romance and see if Slade and Laurie can unravel the past before it destroys their chance at love!

Kelsey

Winnetka, Illinois

July 2017

She was dead. Claire was dead.

Can Max and Kelsey finally lay the old ghosts to rest, or will the echoes of a decades-old murder destroy their second chance at love?

Welcome Jan Scarbrough

The author of two popular Bluegrass romance series, Jan Scarbrough writes heartwarming contemporary stories about home and family, single moms, and children. Living in the horse country of Kentucky makes it easy for Jan to add small town, Southern charm to her books and the excitement of a Bluegrass horse race or a competitive horse show.

Jan leaves her contemporary voice behind with two paranormal gothic romances, Timeless and Tangled Memories, a Romance Writers of America (RWA) Golden Heart finalist. Her historical romance, My Lord Raven, is a medieval story of honor and betrayal.

A member of Novelist, Inc., Jan self-publishes her books. She lives in Louisville, Kentucky, with two rescued dogs and two rescued cats.
