About Popularity

Okay, this is where I admit I just wrote almost a whole blog about being popular.
Or not.
Had I been writing on paper, it wouldn't have been worth the surface I wrote it on, so instead I just copied and cut and voila, it was gone. It was several paragraphs of self-serving crap no one should have been subjected to.
You're welcome.
However, now I don't have anything to say. Facebook has been busy for me this week, due to my inability to keep my posting mouth shut and due to political things that have fed that ineptitude on nearly a daily basis.
We've also had a busy week of medical appointments. I have to say, again, that I love being retired from the day job, but no one told me the biggest reason for retiring was so that you'd have time to keep all the appointments to care for your failing parts. Or, often, your replacement parts.
Today in Peru:
2025 Light Up! Peru

"We are excited to announce that the 2025 Light Up! Peru Christmas Parade and Tree lighting will happen after the parade on Novemeber 22 at 6:00 pm! There will be a full day of Holiday happiness and memories! Santa Clause will help us light the trees and then go to his house afterwards! The 2025 Chamber of Commerce Christmas Open House will ALSO be this day from Noon to 7:00pm! Don't miss this great event to kick off the 2025 Holiday season!"
Today from me:

When Ellie Griffith comes to Christmas Town, Maine, to sell socks, her overachieving family accuses her of running away and extending her lifelong habit of never finishing anything she starts. In her heart, broken by being left nearly at the altar, she thinks they’re probably right, but she has to try one more time. The last thing she wants to do is meet a man. Patrick Nolan, the seasick-prone, dyslexic son of a fisherman and a librarian, owns a Christmas tree farm outside of Christmas Town. He’s grown used to being the family disappointment and loves the direction his life has gone. He’d like to have a family of his own, but his history of rushing into relationships has left him gun-shy about love. But then the manager of the new sock store slips on the ice right in front of him. Maybe, just maybe, the stories of magic in Christmas Town are true.
While I'm in selling mode, I'll have this book and two other Christmas stories, The Dark Horse and A New Kind of Hope in print. They can be ordered from Amazon or gotten signed from me--although I won't have them for a couple of weeks. The set of three from me will be $20. Let me know! I'll even wrap them if you want them for a gift.
If you have made it this far, thank you for reading. I hope you have a great week and a wonderful Thanksgiving. Be nice to somebody.
